Welcome home

Catherine and Pascal welcome you to Vernaison at "La Maison du Bon Aloi", which dates from the end of the 19th Century.

When the adjacent Chateau de Razat was constructed in 1913 for a silk industrialist from Lyons, the house was incorporated into the dependent outbuildings and designated the tied house for the Chateau Gardener.

Situated at the end of a private lane, our house enjoys a quiet and peaceful environment only 5 minutes from the motorway and 20 minutes from the centre of Lyons.

After a long period of neglect, the house has been totally renovated umder Pascal's direction. It also features a fine terrace, adorned with a fishpond at the front, and a small garden at the back. The bedrooms are situated on the first floor and on the upper gabled floor which has been completely refurbished.  All offer pleasant views of the surroundings.

Our guests are welcome to enjoy the salon and dining room at all times, to relax and sample the contents of our library, where detailed information on Lyons and the surrounding countryside can be found.

In fine weather, the walled garden, where roses and hydrangeas abound, makes a pleasant spot to relax with a coffee or fruit juice.
